Howdy!

Welcome to my LJ!

Some of you may be looking for Faraday's Cage is Where You Put Schroedinger's Cat. I decided to separate my science and engineering blogging from my personal life (mostly). FCIWYPSC has moved to http://cherishthescientist.net.

That being said...

For those of you who may have come upon this journal while via some far off blog (like in wordpress or blogspot), feel free to comment using OpenID. I'm always interested in reading someone else's blog. I'm always happy to swap links, as well. You can either leave a comment here or email me from the Full Profile (Source Radiation) page.

The links up top are (translated, for those who don't speak geek):

Recent Transmissions - Recent Entries
Tachyon Field - The Archive
Quantum Universes - My Friends LJs and RSS Feed
Source Radiation - My Full Profile
Evanescent Waves - Personal Favorite Entries, usually about my kids

Thanks for visiting!

Schroedinger's Cat
We just want to know what Schroedinger's cat's name was and what he/she looked like. Do you know?

Re: Schroedinger's Cat
I would never really be able figure out both with any certainty.

Nice Date
I am commenting on this post before it is written - as it shows it will be written in December 2010 :-) Hi from the Curious Cat Science and Engineering Blog, which is listed 2nd (http://engineering.curiouscatblog.net/2008/07/12/2-engineering-blog/), in the top engineering blogs, now - I hope I am somewhere close to that in 2010.

Re: Nice Date
I'll see what I can do to bump you up. As you probably guessed, I've now reached #1 on the list. About a year from now, I will figure out what it is that readers find interesting and capitalize on it.

:-)

Thanks for stopping by.

Bonjour!
Another engineer recommended your blog as something I might be interested in. He's certainly right! A fresh perspective is always welcome. I do wonder how you can write so much so often. My blog seems to create a big time black hole out of my day everyday and I've only been blogging for a week!

Re: Bonjour!
Welcome to the party!

Blogging is my way of keeping myself (and my husband) sane. I get stuff off my chest here so that I don't drive everyone else nuts. I figure that people here always have the option of skipping it. :-)

re: name of Schroedinger's Cat
Erwin Schrödinger's cat was an orange tabby named Peter, about 4 years old when Schroedinger postulated his paradox in 1935. I believe the only mention of this was in Fritz Neibold's "Seltsamkeiten der neuen Wissenschaften" (oddities of the new sciences), Leipzig 1951 privately printed.
